Can NFC tags be reprogrammed when used in advertising?
September 13 , 2021

This may be a combination of online advertising and mobile promotion. As more and more mobile phones support NFC as a standard, we find that people are very interested in NFC advertising options.

Using NFC tags in your advertising campaigns is a clever way to attract people and increase traffic to your website, download your apps, or easily provide people with more information about your products. Companies now have many different ways to use NFC tags in their advertisements, here are a few examples.

 Example 1-Product Extension

Imagine that your customers can click on products on their phones to find other product information. No need to scan a QR code, no need to download an app to access information, no need to enter a website-just a tap and a pop-up screen with additional product information will appear.

Example 2-Entries

Everyone likes to win prizes, but sometimes obstacles to participating in the competition affect the number of people participating in the competition. If you promote a website for an item, people must either enter the website address or try to remember it after they walk out of the store, or you must want them to keep some printed material with the website address.

With NFC tags, customers only need to tap the smart poster or NFC sticker to take them directly to the website URL of your match page. Simple, easy, instant and different. This is how you increase your entries!

Example 3-Smart Poster

Smart posters are becoming more and more popular in Australia. These posters integrate NRF tags and guide users to click on your poster to get more information, visit a website, or download an application. The advertising opportunities for NFC tags are almost as endless as the apps, websites or messages you can create!

They are great examples of NFC tags in ads, but can you reprogram them?

The answer is yes! But this answer has some caveats.

When you add information to an NFC tag called a "write" tag. When you "write" information to the label, you can choose to make it "read only". If you do this, you will not be able to reprogram the tag once the information has been added.

If you leave the tag "open" to be able to reprogram it, it is worth noting that anyone with an NFC writing application such as NFC Easiwayv Tools can come and reprogram your NFC tag, so it is strongly recommended that you leave any The reprogrammed label is set to "read only" when used in public places.
