Patients can verify the code through the app or website by scratching the surface to confirm whether the product they have purchased is genuine. BioSpectrum India reports that this security feature developed by Hyperlink Infosystem allows patients and institutions to easily and effectively detect any counterfeit products they claim.

With the increasing number of counterfeit products in the Indian market, it is necessary to ensure that patients only get 100% genuine products produced by Zydus. Initially, the technology is being implemented in the company's Remdac (Remdesivir) and virafinj (peg-ated Interpheron Alpha 2b) products, and will appear on these packages in the third week of June. In due course, this new function will also be extended to the company's other drugs.
