Haier designs, manufactures and sells various household appliances, including washing machines. As one of the world's largest washing machine manufacturers, Haier ships millions of electrical appliances to customers around the world every year. Haier previously relied on manual scanning of barcodes to track washing machines ready for delivery to distribution centers. However, as the global demand for Haier washing machines grows, Haier needs to rely on RAIN RFID and Impinj to accurately synchronize and real-time loading and transportation information in 200 warehouses.

The RAIN RFID tag with Impinj Monza R6 IC chip is fixed on the outer packaging of the washing machine, waiting to be transported from the manufacturing warehouse to the logistics center. The label provides unique item-level information about the asset.

Impinj R420 readers are installed at the dock and the door of the entire warehouse to track the movement of the washing machine as it enters and exits the facility.

Impinj partners’ software processes the data scanned from Impinj readers so that warehouse operators know where the products are and can update inventory reports in real time.
